When Edwin Heinrich Max Fritsche was born on November 26, 1901, in Farrar, Missouri, his father, Richard, was 29 and his mother, Anna, was 25. He married Laura Lena Koenig on August 31, 1924, in his hometown. When Laura Lena Koenig was born on March 31, 1901, in Perry County, Missouri, her father, Gustav, was 38 and her mother, Clara, was 37.

They had five children in 18 years. He died on August 17, 1980, in Perryville, Missouri, at the age of 78, and was buried there.  She died on October 31, 1984, in Perryville, Missouri, at the age of 83, and was buried there.
