When Otto Richard Walter Fritsche was born on September 4, 1903, in Perry County, Missouri, his father, Richard, was 31 and his mother, Anna, was 27. He married Rosa Martha Mathilda Bachmann on April 7, 1929, in Crosstown, Missouri. When Rosa Martha Mathilda Bachmann was born on March 20, 1908, in Crosstown, Missouri, her father, Martin, was 37 and her mother, Gesche, was 35.

They had three children during their marriage. He died on October 14, 1983, in Perryville, Missouri, at the age of 80, and was buried in Altenburg, Missouri.  She died on January 4, 1991, in Union Grove, Wisconsin, at the age of 82.
