When Amanda Edna Kirmse was born on November 1, 1911, in Longtown, Missouri, her father, August, was 41 and her mother, Amelia, was 31. She married Harry Henry Mehner on September 15, 1940, in Crosstown, Missouri. When Harry was born on September 15, 1906, in Longtown, Missouri, his father, Martin, was 27 and his mother, Charlotte, was 26.

Harry and Amanda had two children during their marriage. He died on April 15, 1957, in Crosstown, Missouri, at the age of 50. She died on September 17, 1999, in Perryville, Missouri, at the age of 87, and was buried in Crosstown, Missouri.
