Story
The above image is a Google Earth map showing the relative locations of Goodwin and the Lutheran Church and Cemetery to the Kirmse and Lohmann properties. William Kirmse mentions in his autobiography that the Kirmse family joined the Lutheran Church that was located two miles from the Kirmse farm.
When John Krueger visited the Goodwin area in April of 2015, he also took roadside photographs at the locations marked as 14 and 15. A couple of these photographs are shown below.
The Lutheran Church no longer exists as can be seen in the following photograph.
