Story
The second home of William and Martha (Cordes) Kirmse as shown in 1910. William, using his carpenter trade skills, built the wooden house in 1909 - about a year before the William and Martha Kirmse family moved to Alva, Oklahoma.

Goodwin, Ellis County, Oklahoma - Homestead 1 mile east - about 7 miles southeast of Shattuck, Oklahoma.

The William Kirmse Homestead and Martha Kirmse property are in section 19. Note that the Henry Lohman Homestead is located immediately south of the Kirmse property in section 30.
