When Anna Marie Cordes was born on February 3, 1876, in Farrar, Missouri, her father, Heinrich, was 26 and her mother, Margaretha, was 28. She married Richard Bruno Fritsche on October 28, 1900, in her hometown. They had four children during their marriage: Edwin Heinrich Max Fritsche (1901 – 1980), Otto Richard Walter Fritsche (1903 – 1983), Ida Florence Fritsche (1906 – 1906), Ella Martha Maria Fritsche (1907 – 1991).
